A leading AI startup is seeking a Senior AI Algorithm Engineer to join its core R&D team. This role focuses on algorithmic modelling, optimisation strategies, and advanced problem-solving within large-scale digital twin environments.
You will build high-performance solutions using Python programming and GPU acceleration technologies while contributing to impactful real-world automation systems.
Key responsibilities:
As a Senior AI Algorithm Engineer, you will design and implement advanced algorithmic solutions that translate real-world systems into scalable digital models while driving optimisation and performance improvements.
- Analyse real-world problems and develop algorithmic models using graph theory, grid systems, path planning, or rule-based approaches
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance algorithm modules in Python, ensuring correctness and efficiency
- Apply GPU acceleration tools (e.g., CUDA, PyTorch) to optimise large-scale computation and simulation performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and implement algorithmic solutions
- Test and validate different algorithmic strategies, iterating based on performance results and feedback
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and solution quality
- Translate complex operational constraints into scalable algorithmic workflows for scheduling and routing
- Support integration of algorithms into broader reasoning and automation pipelines
Candidate profile:
You are a strong problem-solver with proven expertise in algorithmic modelling, Python programming, and GPU acceleration, combined with a collaborative and growth mindset suited for fast-paced environments.
- Strong Python programming skills with excellent debugging and software development ability
- Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures for effective problem modeling and solution design
- Hands-on experience with CUDA, PyTorch, or similar GPU acceleration frameworks for parallel computing or optimisation
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant industry experience in algorithm development or related fields
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to translate real-world problems into graph, geometry, scheduling, or optimisation models
- Familiarity with graph analysis, 3D path planning, or spatial optimisation techniques
- Experience building and maintaining algorithm modules in medium-to-large scale systems
- Exposure to machine learning or deep learning concepts and applications
- Familiarity with Omniverse or similar simulation/virtualisation platforms
