【CAD】3D Software Engineer

The company is recruiting a 3D software engineer focusing on digital twin technology to convert complex 2D and 3D construction engineering data into highly compatible USD formats, and create an automated pipeline to achieve virtual and real integration. This position will allow you to participate in the delivery of large-scale digital twin projects, including semiconductor factories, airports, commercial offices, and other fields.

What will you do:

As a 3D Software Engineer, your daily work will focus on digital twin technology development, including 2D/3D construction data conversion, automated process design, and multi-platform data exchange architecture creation. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Autodesk family software, designing efficient CAD/BIM to USD generators, and participating in the delivery of large-scale Digital Twin projects to solve technical challenges in different fields. Through collaboration and continuous optimization of automated pipeline design, you will promote the integration of virtual and real worlds, enabling seamless application of construction engineering data in various scenarios. • Responsible for the development and maintenance of Autodesk series software, including the design and optimization of CAD/BIM to USD generators to improve data conversion efficiency and compatibility.
• Engage in the development of automated generation pipelines from 2D CAD to 3D architectural models, covering metadata extraction, data standardization, and foundation component generation, ensuring a smooth and precise process.
• Assist in establishing a CAD/BIM cross-software data exchange architecture to ensure the quality and consistency of subsequent data flows (such as Houdini / USD pipeline), effectively supporting multi-platform integration.
• Participate in the delivery of large-scale digital twin projects, such as semiconductor factories, airports, commercial offices, and other fields, responsible for the implementation of construction technology and solve various technical problems.
• Perform digital logic conversion for engineering drawings, integrate traditional CAD/CAM operation processes into modern software development architectures, and improve automation.
• Collaborate effectively in a cross-team environment to collaborate on various tasks, from tedious data cleaning to high-level algorithm design, to promote team goal achievement.
• Continuously optimize the automation pipeline design to improve the efficiency of virtual and real integration, enabling seamless conversion of construction project data to USD format and application in various scenarios.
• Actively participate in new technology research and tool development, continuously improve product functions and promote industry innovation.

What you bring:

As a 3D Software Engineer, you need to have extensive experience in architecture-related software development, as well as a deep understanding of Autodesk APIs and plug-in tool design skills. In this role, your programming language proficiency (such as C#, Python, or C++) will enable you to complete tasks independently, while combining CAD/CAM operating logic to transform traditional engineering drawings into modern digital processes. Additionally, this role emphasizes communication and collaboration skills, requiring you to work effectively in a cross-team environment to jointly drive project progress. • With over 2 to 3 years of experience in construction-related software development, they are proficient in handling complex engineering data and designing efficient processes.
• Familiar with Autodesk API development, with experience in developing practical plug-ins or automation tools, and can quickly adapt to various software requirements.
• It has CAD/CAM core operation logic, which can convert engineering drawings into digital development logic, effectively supporting automated process design.
• Background in architecture, civil engineering, or related disciplines, understanding industry needs and being able to propose practical technical solutions.
• Familiar with at least one programming language (C#, Python, C++), with good practical software engineering skills, and able to complete tasks independently.
• Possess good communication and collaboration skills, and can effectively collaborate in a cross-team environment to jointly promote project progress.
