You will be joining an organisation renowned for its commitment to technological advancement, with a rich legacy in RF integration and a diverse portfolio spanning power management, connected sensors, optical transceivers, antenna tuning, and RF frontends.
Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Location: Taichung
Keywords: collaborative, supportive leadership, inclusive, dependable, flexible working opportunities, knowledgeable, training opportunities, growth leadership, team, network
What you'll do:
As Staff Engineer, Product Engineering based in Taichung, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of guiding assigned product lines through every stage of their lifecycle—from development kick-off right through to mass production and eventual retirement. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless new product introductions by defining robust test plans, designing experiments to evaluate performance metrics, analysing complex datasets for characterisation purposes, and establishing industry-leading measurement standards. You will also focus on sustaining existing products by applying your analytical prowess to optimise yields during manufacturing while implementing efficient testing procedures that maintain stringent quality targets. In addition to technical responsibilities such as failure analysis studies on customer returns or process changes impacting reliability, you will play an important role in mentoring junior engineers—sharing your expertise in methods, correlation techniques, and problem-solving strategies. Success in this role hinges on your ability to operate independently with minimal guidance while maintaining exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail; your capacity for sound judgement when evaluating results will be crucial as you facilitate activities among fellow engineers working on shared projects.
- Take ownership of productisation and sustaining activities for assigned product lines from initial development stages through to mass production and end-of-life management.
- Ensure new products meet all development requirements prior to production release by defining comprehensive production test plans and conducting experiments to study performance and capabilities.
- Analyse test and characterisation data meticulously to identify any performance issues or demonstrate that products meet marketing requirements.
- Establish standardised test and measurement methods for new product lines to ensure consistency and reliability across manufacturing processes.
- Apply advanced data analysis skills to improve product yields during production while reviewing and dispositioning production lots as necessary.
- Deliver test time reduction initiatives without compromising coverage or DPM targets, ensuring efficient yet thorough testing protocols.
- Conduct detailed analysis of customer returns (RMA) to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
- Own change control processes by managing any changes in production processes, assessing their impact on product performance or reliability, and performing electrical characterisation as needed.
- Drive failure analysis studies on customer returns or investigate failure modes that impact yield to enhance overall product quality.
- Mentor junior engineers by sharing methods, analytical techniques, correlation strategies, and problem-solving approaches within the team.
What you bring:
