Thermal Process Engineer (Fresh Graduate is welcome)

About the Role (Taiwanese Only) We are seeking a passionate and skilled Thermal Process Engineer to join our team in Taichung. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the deployment, improvement, and optimization of advanced thermal processes for innovative materials and products across Asia. You will also contribute to building engineering capabilities that align with our business growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize thermal processes such as heat treatment, melting, forming, firing, sintering, annealing, tempering, brazing, curing, and stress relieving.
• Conduct process optimization experiments and manufacturing studies; analyze data using statistical methods to identify root causes and implement solutions.
• Define critical process parameters (e.g., temperature profiles, time cycles, atmospheres).
• Perform process validation and capability studies (IQ/OQ/PQ, Cp/Cpk).
• Oversee final product inspections and ensure quality control measures meet customer specifications.
• Transfer technology to manufacturing plants through training programs and documentation (e.g., SOPs).
• Collaborate with research, development, and manufacturing teams on new product introductions.
• Provide training and support to technicians and operators on best practices for thermal processes.

*This position requires frequent travel within Asia and occasional trips to the USA for process development projects.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Thermal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 2–3 years of experience in thermal process engineering or materials processing.
• Hands-on experience with thermal processing equipment such as kilns or furnaces is highly preferred.

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical skills with experience in DOE, statistical analysis, and process modeling.
• Solid understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer principles, and material behavior at high temperatures.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across global teams in different time zones.
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
