[MNC] Senior BI Developer & Tech Lead

On behalf of our client—a leading global high-technology and semiconductor test solution provider—we are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Developer & Technical Solution Lead to join their regional analytics team in Taiwan.

What you’ll do

• Delivery Leadership & Strategy: Own the intake, prioritization, and end-to-end execution of multiple concurrent BI projects. Define release roadmaps, manage backlogs, and collaborate across Data Engineering, Platform, and Security teams to ensure seamless delivery.

• Data Pipeline Architecture: Architect, build, and optimize enterprise-grade ELT/ETL data pipelines using Azure Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake), Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and ADLS Gen2, utilizing medallion architecture and dimensional modeling.

• Power BI Engineering & Governance: Design high-performance semantic layers, scalable datasets, and executive dashboards. Establish robust organizational standards for DAX patterns, Row-Level Security (RLS), and Power BI deployment pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod).

• Python Automation & Quality: Develop clean, maintainable Python scripts for pipeline automation, data transformation, exploratory data analysis, and automated data quality checks following modern DevOps best practices (Git, CI/CD).

• Stakeholder & Business Partnership: Engage directly with global executive stakeholders to gather ambiguous business requirements, challenge assumptions, and deliver data solutions framed around measurable business outcomes.

• Technical Standards & Operations: Define code review guidelines, maintain testing strategies (reconciliation, UAT), and establish SLA-backed support models to elevate overall platform reliability.

What you’ll bring

• Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, combined with 8–12+ years of experience in BI/Analytics Engineering, including 3+ years in a technical lead or senior individual contributor capacity.

• Core Technical Stack:

  • Azure Platform: Deep hands-on expertise in Azure Databricks (PySpark, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog), Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, and Azure DevOps.

  • Power BI Ecosystem: Advanced proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), semantic modeling, deployment pipelines, and Power BI Premium/Fabric architectures.

  • Programming & Database: Strong proficiency in Python (data transformation, automation) and Advanced SQL (optimization, data warehousing, dimensional modeling).

• Language Skills: Business-level fluency in both Chinese and English (written and spoken) to lead technical discussions and collaborate seamlessly across international teams.

• Leadership & Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, strategic problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of driving clarity in ambiguous environments and mentoring team members.

• Preferred: Experience in semiconductor/manufacturing analytics, exposure to Microsoft Fabric / dbt, or relevant Azure certifications (e.g., DP-600, DP-203).
