FAE Director (Timing)

As part of its continued growth, the company is looking for an experienced Field Application Engineering Director to lead the regional FAE organisation across Asia Pacific. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for driving customer engagement, developing engineering capabilities, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support business growth and technology adoption.

What you'll do

As the Field Application Engineering Director, you will lead a regional team responsible for supporting customers throughout product evaluation, development, and production. You will work closely with engineering, product management, and commercial teams to align customer requirements with product strategy while building a high-performing technical organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop the regional Field Application Engineering organisation across Asia Pacific.
• Define and execute technical engagement strategies that support business growth and customer success.
• Partner with sales, product management, and engineering teams to support strategic customer opportunities.
• Gather customer feedback and market insights to influence future product planning and technology direction.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support long-term business partnerships.
• Drive technical excellence by establishing engineering best practices and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Support engineers in resolving complex technical challenges throughout the customer development cycle.
• Develop and mentor engineering managers and Field Application Engineers through coaching and performance development.
• Establish team objectives and performance metrics while driving continuous improvement.
• Represent customer requirements internally and ensure alignment between business needs and engineering priorities.

What you bring

The ideal candidate combines strong semiconductor industry experience with proven leadership in customer-facing engineering organisations. You enjoy developing people, working across functions, and translating customer needs into technical and business opportunities.

Requirements include:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of semiconductor or electronics industry experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing Field Application Engineering or other customer-facing technical teams.
• Strong technical background in semiconductor products, hardware systems, or related technologies.
• Experience working closely with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams.
• Demonstrated success supporting strategic customer engagements and technical projects.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Mandarin and English communication.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
