About the Role A global semiconductor technology company is seeking a Central Analog Field Applications Engineer to join its Taipei team, focusing on advanced server and AI infrastructure platforms. In this role, you will provide deep technical support for analog power delivery systems across next-generation computing environments. You will work closely with key customers and internal engineering teams to debug, optimise, and validate system-level power performance. This position offers strong exposure to cutting-edge high-performance computing technologies and a highly collaborative engineering environment.
What you'll do
As a Central Analog Field Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting complex system-level power challenges in server and AI computing platforms.
Your responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support and debugging for advanced server power delivery systems used in AI and high-performance computing platforms
- Perform system-level tuning and optimisation of power parameters to ensure performance and stability
- Conduct simulation modelling, loop stability analysis, transient response evaluation, and schematic reviews
- Prepare detailed technical reports including root-cause analysis and corrective actions
- Collaborate with customer engineering teams to ensure system performance meets reliability and thermal requirements
- Work closely with internal Sales, Product, Design, and Validation teams to support project execution and identify opportunities
- Provide technical feedback to improve future product and platform development
- Use simulation tools (e.g., circuit modelling and analysis tools) for validation and debugging
- Support cross-functional communication through technical presentations and project reviews
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in power system design, validation, or debugging
- Strong understanding of server or high-performance computing power architectures
- Experience in DC-DC converter design and loop compensation techniques
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and power analysers
- Familiarity with simulation tools such as SIMPLIS, PSpice, or equivalent
- Experience in system-level debug and power optimisation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in English
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (Engineering / Sales / Product / Validation)
