What you'll do:

As a Technical Sales Engineer based in Taipei, you will immerse yourself in both the technical and commercial aspects of adhesive solutions.   • Build up comprehensive market insights through detailed mapping activities, ensuring a deep understanding of key strategies for assigned assortments and markets while following annual marketing and project plans under guidance.
  • Align closely with the sales team to coordinate resources, develop actionable plans, and achieve defined business targets based on coaching and strategic direction.
  • Collect and analyse marketing information including competition status, customer behaviour, market trends, and campaign performance to generate insightful reports that drive business suggestions and solutions.
  • Monitor policies, regulations, and market practices within assigned sectors or industries, delivering timely feedback and critical information to internal teams.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the existing product portfolio and lifecycle; support new product development by collaborating with internal teams to address issues arising during the marketing process.
  • Assist in implementing new product launches by preparing solution packages and enabling target partners as well as end-users to achieve their business objectives.
  • Organise and deliver training programmes tailored to business requirements, supporting commercial teams in enhancing their capabilities across various channels and markets.
  • Work alongside the sales team on customer visits to gain first-hand knowledge of market needs, product applications, and customer challenges while promoting new products.
  • Provide on-site technical support at customer locations to facilitate product application or resolve troubleshooting issues efficiently.
  • Contribute to analysing emerging application trends impacting tape products and assist internal teams in adapting product development accordingly.

The ideal candidate for the Technical Sales Engineer position brings a robust educational background in polymer science or related disciplines along with hands-on experience in either marketing or technical roles within the chemical sector. Your proven ability to analyse data effectively using advanced MS Office skills will allow you to generate meaningful insights that inform strategic decisions.   • Bachelor’s degree or above in Polymer Science, Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent field is required for this role.
  • Experience in marketing or related fields is highly desirable; prior experience within the chemical industry would be considered an advantage.
  • Familiarity with tape or adhesive applications—especially within FPC (Flexible Printed Circuits) & Antenna industries in consumer electronics—is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous exposure to technical support or involvement in marketing/product development for adhesive-related products would be beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills paired with structured presentation abilities are essential for effective cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Demonstrated capability in collecting information and conducting data analysis using MS Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • A keen sense of business acumen combined with agility in learning new concepts quickly will set you apart in this position.
  • Proven problem-solving skills are required; you should be able to identify routine issues promptly and provide practical solutions based on guidance provided by supervisors.
