A leading global technology company is seeking a Vice President of Sales for Taiwan to spearhead commercial activities in one of the world’s most dynamic semiconductor markets. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape regional sales strategy, drive bookings growth, and foster deep customer connections across a diverse portfolio of advanced test equipment, inspection systems, and software-enabled solutions.

What you'll do:

As Vice President of Sales – Taiwan (Semiconductor Equipment), you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of the region’s commercial success. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre on developing robust sales strategies tailored to local market dynamics while ensuring seamless integration with global objectives. You will nurture executive-level relationships with key customers—acting as their trusted advisor—and represent the organisation during critical negotiations and strategic discussions. By mentoring your team and driving cross-functional collaboration across departments such as product management and engineering, you will ensure that customer requirements are consistently met or exceeded. Your oversight of operational plans will guarantee disciplined financial management while your stewardship of legal entity responsibilities ensures full compliance with all statutory requirements. Through your efforts in monitoring market trends and providing voice-of-customer input into global planning processes, you will help shape new product introductions that keep the organisation at the forefront of technological advancement.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for Taiwan that aligns with global commercial objectives and maximises market share.
  • Own regional bookings performance by ensuring accurate forecasting, robust pipeline development, and effective customer coverage across all product lines.
  • Drive adoption of advanced test handlers, inspection metrology systems, analytics software, test systems, and interface solutions by clearly communicating value propositions to customers.
  • Lead strategic account engagement with major semiconductor manufacturers, OSATs, and ecosystem partners to strengthen institutional relationships at the executive level.
  • Represent the organisation at customer reviews, contract negotiations, and strategic roadmap discussions to ensure alignment with client needs and expectations.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics, investment trends, and technology roadmaps within the region to inform both local execution and global planning.
  • Mentor and develop the Taiwan sales team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance consistent with organisational values.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts among sales operations, product management, marketing, field service, engineering, and operations to deliver exceptional outcomes for Taiwanese customers.
  • Oversee regional operating plans including quotas and KPIs while supporting pricing strategies, margin discipline, contract governance, and financial controls in partnership with Finance and Legal teams.
  • Serve as the senior local officer responsible for statutory compliance related to employment law, tax regulations, corporate governance obligations, audits, government filings, banking matters, registrations, and board actions.

What you bring:

To excel as Vice President of Sales – Taiwan (Semiconductor Equipment), you will bring extensive experience from senior roles within the semiconductor equipment or high-technology sectors. Your background should include proven success in driving significant revenue growth through complex solution selling—ideally encompassing both capital equipment and software platforms. You will have demonstrated your ability to manage P&L responsibilities while leading quota-driven teams within large multinational environments. Your interpersonal strengths will shine through your ability to mentor others collaboratively while building trust-based relationships with executives both internally and externally. A nuanced understanding of Taiwan’s unique business landscape—combined with fluency in statutory compliance—will enable you to serve as an effective steward for local legal entities. Above all else, your commitment to ethical conduct will set a positive example throughout the organisation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or a related field; an advanced degree is highly desirable for this senior leadership role.
  • At least 15 years’ progressive experience in sales or commercial leadership within semiconductor equipment manufacturing or closely related high-technology industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth through managing complex capital equipment sales cycles involving both hardware and software-enabled solutions.
  • Proven track record in building strategic customer relationships within Taiwan’s semiconductor sector—including experience engaging with OSATs and ecosystem partners at an executive level.
  • Prior responsibility for regional profit-and-loss management as well as quota-based sales organisations is strongly preferred for this position.
  • Experience working effectively within large global matrixed organisations where cross-functional collaboration is essential to success.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to mentor teams while fostering a culture rooted in accountability and shared achievement.
  • Deep understanding of local statutory requirements including employment law compliance; experience serving as an authorised representative for legal entities is advantageous.
  • Customer-centric mindset combined with cultural acumen necessary for navigating both local business practices and international corporate standards.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical conduct alongside governance frameworks that ensure transparency across all aspects of sales operations.
