A leading global semiconductor organisation seeks an Export Compliance Professional in Taiwan to strengthen global trade compliance, ensure regulatory adherence, and enable secure international business operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead export compliance across Taiwan, the U.S., and international markets by monitoring regulatory changes and translating requirements into practical policies and procedures
• Own and enhance the Internal Compliance Program (ICP), SOPs, and export compliance framework to strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence
• Manage export licensing, product classifications, regulatory filings, sanctions screening, and compliance documentation to mitigate trade risks and ensure regulatory adherence
• Drive compliance assurance through due diligence, Military End User (MEU) assessments, audits, and corrective actions across customers, suppliers, distributors, and business partners
• Partner with Legal, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and IT teams to embed export compliance into business processes while delivering organisation-wide training and guidance
• Champion continuous improvement by optimising compliance workflows, enhancing trade compliance systems, and implementing automation initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability

Candidate profile:

• 7+ years' export controls or trade compliance experience within multinational organisations across Taiwan or Asia, including 2+ years in a senior role managing complex regulatory matters
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
• Experience within the semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, or telecommunications industries, with exposure to cross-functional collaboration and Legal teams
• Strong expertise in export controls, trade compliance, sanctions, regulatory interpretation, export licensing, and compliance frameworks
• Proficiency in project management, risk assessment, due diligence, and compliance screening, including commercial platforms such as Dow Jones or Sayari
• Excellent English and Chinese communication, stakeholder management, analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
