The Head of Retail is responsible for leading and driving overall retail strategy, operations, and performance. This role ensures alignment with business goals, enhances customer experience, and optimises sales, profitability, and brand presence.

As Head of Retail, you will play a central role in shaping the future direction of the organisation’s retail footprint.

• Develop and execute retail strategies to drive sales growth, profitability, and network performance
• Oversee multi-store operations, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and consistent customer experience
• Monitor sales, KPIs, and market trends to optimise performance and support strategic decision-making
• Lead, coach, and develop store management teams to strengthen engagement, productivity, and results
• Drive visual merchandising, brand standards, and cross-functional collaboration with marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams
• Manage store expansion initiatives, including openings, closures, and stakeholder partnerships aligned with business strategy

Candidate profile:

To excel as Head of Retail, you will bring extensive experience gained from senior positions within large-scale retail organisations where you have overseen multiple sites simultaneously.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related discipline; MBA preferred
• 10+ years of retail management experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership
• Proven success driving sales growth and managing multi-store retail operations
• Strong leadership, team development, stakeholder management, and communication skills
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, strategic execution, and commercial acumen
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and operational excellence
• Customer-focused with strong knowledge of retail trends, consumer behaviour, adaptability, and resilience
