Director of Clinical Development

A leading clinical research organisation seeks a Director of Clinical Development in Taiwan to drive strategic growth, strengthen client partnerships, and deliver complex projects that advance impactful healthcare solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead client meetings, presentations, bid defenses, and sponsor engagements, strengthening strategic client relationships
• Drive business development through clinical service presentations, sales materials, and upselling/cross-selling opportunities
• Partner with Business Development, Clinical Operations, Medical, and Proposal teams to shape competitive clinical strategies
• Own the end-to-end RFP process, coordinating teams, timelines, proposals, and delivery strategies to maximise conversion
• Evaluate project feasibility, vendor quotations, and proposal assumptions, strengthening commercial proposals and client solutions
• Manage KPIs, quality metrics, RFI requirements, and pipeline activities, ensuring accurate data and timely execution

Candidate profile:

• 10+ years’ CRO / Clinical Operations experience, with strong Study Management expertise
• Experience managing global Phase III studies across multiple therapeutic areas within complex clinical research environments
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills, with the ability to engage Sponsors and provide strategic input on clinical trial strategy and solutions
• Demonstrated commercial and strategic mindset, with experience supporting RFPs, proposals, business development, or client acquisition
• Strong leadership, negotiation, project management, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Fluent English and willingness to undertake frequent APAC travel
