A leading global sporting goods organisation is seeking a Sports Marketing professional to develop and execute marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility, drive consumer engagement, and strengthen market presence within the sports and lifestyle sector.

Key responsibilities:

As a Sports Marketing Manager, you will lead the development of integrated marketing strategies that connect brands with passionate sports communities.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Building

  • Create and execute integrated sports marketing strategies that support overall business goals
  • Strengthen brand presence across sports, fitness, and lifestyle communities
  • Lead seasonal campaigns, product launches, and targeted brand initiatives to engage key audiences

Campaign & Activation Execution

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and event channels
  • Coordinate sports events, sponsorship activities, and community engagement initiatives to enhance brand visibility
  • Partner with agencies to execute high-impact campaigns across both online and offline platforms

Partnership & Sponsorship

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with athletes, influencers, sports teams, and fitness communities
  • Lead sponsorship negotiations and drive maximum ROI through effective activation initiatives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key external partners and stakeholders

Digital & Content Marketing

  • Drive digital and social media campaigns to engage sports and fitness audiences
  • Develop compelling training, lifestyle, and brand storytelling content across platforms
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimise strategies through data-driven insights

Market Insights & Performance Tracking

  • Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitor activity in the sports industry
  • Track marketing performance metrics (ROI, engagement, conversion) and derive insights
  • Provide reports and recommendations to improve campaign effectiveness

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Sales, Retail, Product, and E-commerce teams to ensure aligned strategies
  • Support retail marketing efforts, including in-store promotions and visual merchandising initiatives

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you should bring substantial experience in designing integrated marketing strategies within the sports or lifestyle sectors.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sports Management, or a related discipline
  • 3–8 years of marketing experience, ideally within sports, lifestyle, FMCG, or retail sectors
  • Hands-on expertise in event marketing, sponsorships, brand activations, and campaign execution
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, social media platforms, and consumer engagement trends
  • Passion for sports, fitness, and lifestyle industries, with awareness of emerging market trends
  • Proven project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in fast-paced environments
  • Creative, data-driven, and analytical professional with strong communication, presentation, and execution capabilities
