Training Manager, Sports
This organisation is looking for a passionate and experienced Training Manager to lead training initiatives across retail and commercial teams.

Key responsibilities:
As the Training Manager for Sports in Taipei, you will design impactful learning strategies to empower retail teams in delivering exceptional customer service and expert product advice.
Training Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business objectives and brand direction, including an annual roadmap covering product knowledge, sales capability, and leadership development
- Identify capability gaps through store visits, performance analysis, and stakeholder feedback to inform targeted training interventions and continuous improvement initiatives
Product & Technical Training
- Deliver in-depth, performance-focused product training by translating complex features, technologies, and materials into clear, customer-relevant selling points for effective selling
- Partner with product and marketing teams to keep training content updated with the latest innovations and ensure frontline teams are equipped to provide expert-level customer consultation
Retail & Sales Capability Development
- Design and deliver training programs focused on: customer engagement, consultative selling, needs-based recommendations, and cross-selling/premium product positioning
- Coach store managers to develop and guide frontline teams while ensuring consistent brand storytelling and high-quality customer experience execution
Training Delivery & Content Development
- Facilitate engaging multi-format training sessions (in-store, classroom, and virtual) while ensuring effective knowledge transfer across teams
- Develop diverse training materials, including toolkits, videos, and e-learning content, and apply interactive methods such as product demos, role plays, and experiential learning
Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
- Measure training effectiveness through KPIs such as sales uplift, conversion rates, and staff capability, while tracking learning progress and engagement via LMS or internal tools
- Continuously refine and enhance training programs based on performance data, feedback, and business outcomes
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you will bring extensive experience in learning & development within fast-moving consumer goods sectors—ideally connected to sportswear or lifestyle products
- Bachelor’s degree or above with 5–8+ years of experience in training, L&D, or retail training, preferably within sports, apparel, footwear, or lifestyle brands
- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer experience excellence
- Proven expertise in training design, development, and facilitation
- Strong ability to interpret and communicate technical product features and performance benefits, ideally with experience in innovation-driven or function-heavy product categories, and the ability to translate product knowledge into sales impact
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with strong cross-functional collaboration ability
- Results-driven, data-oriented, and able to influence and inspire frontline teams toward performance improvement
- Passionate about sports, fitness, or active lifestyles, with a hands-on, proactive mindset and willingness to spend time in stores with frontline teams
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with international or premium consumer brands, with familiarity in digital learning tools and LMS platforms
- Strong personal interest in sports or fitness activities is a plus
