Head of Copy, Alcohol Client - 1 year Contract

A leading global agency is seeking a Head of Copywriting to lead creative concept development and copy execution for a renowned alcohol brand in Taipei.

This one-year contract offers the opportunity to shape impactful campaigns and always-on content across Taiwan and China while maintaining a consistent brand voice and cultural relevance. Working closely with stakeholders, creative teams, and clients, you will ensure high-quality, compliant, and locally resonant communications for a globally recognised brand.

Key responsibilities:

As Head of Copywriting for an alcohol brand on a one-year contract in Taipei, you will immerse yourself in the creative process from concept development through final execution.

  • Lead creative concept development and copy execution across campaigns and always-on initiatives, ensuring brand consistency and cultural relevance
  • Create and transcreate high-impact content between English and Mandarin, including original Mandarin copywriting where required
  • Serve as the primary link between Mandarin-speaking markets and English-speaking creative teams, translating briefs, feedback, and creative direction
  • Conduct quality reviews to ensure content accuracy, regulatory compliance, brand alignment, and messaging consistency
  • Collaborate with Project Management to coordinate workflows, timelines, feedback processes, and stakeholder expectations
  • Support content delivery for Taiwan and, where required, China markets, ensuring effective market relevance

Candidate profile:

An experienced copywriting leader with strong agency experience, exceptional bilingual communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality content for regulated consumer brands across multicultural markets.

  • Proven client-facing experience with strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
  • Prior agency experience with a track record of delivering high-quality creative work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent Mandarin speaker with professional-level English proficiency for effective cross-cultural collaboration
  • Experience within the alcohol category is preferred; strong FMCG and/or luxury brand experience will also be considered
  • Exposure to global brands or international marketing environments is highly advantageous
