Head of Marketing, Consumer
An organisation in Taiwan seeks a strategic and commercially driven Head of Marketing to lead brand growth, consumer engagement, market strategy, and integrated marketing execution.
This role will work closely with regional leadership, commercial teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to strengthen brand equity, drive business growth, and build long-term consumer relevance in the Taiwan market.
Key responsibilities:
As Head of Marketing, you will lead Taiwan’s overall marketing strategy, overseeing brand planning, consumer insights, campaign and media strategy, digital and trade marketing alignment, and team leadership.
Marketing Strategy & Brand Leadership
- Lead annual marketing strategy aligned with business goals, brand priorities, and market opportunities
- Own brand positioning, portfolio strategy, segmentation, and go-to-market planning
- Translate regional/global direction into locally relevant marketing execution
- Track consumer trends, competition, and market dynamics to drive sustainable growth
Consumer Engagement
- Lead integrated campaigns across digital, social, PR, events, partnerships, retail, and consumer channels
- Ensure strong brand consistency, relevance, and measurable business impact
- Oversee media planning, content strategy, CRM, and end-to-end consumer journey design
- Drive innovation in consumer engagement and brand experience
Commercial & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Trade Marketing, Key Accounts, E-commerce, and Finance to align marketing with commercial goals
- Support channel strategy, product launches, promotions, and customer engagement plans
- Monitor campaign performance, ROI, market share, and brand health metrics
- Leverage data and insights to optimise marketing investments and decisions
Team & Agency Management
- Lead and develop the marketing team with clear priorities and strong execution focus
- Manage external agencies across creative, media, PR, digital, and events
- Build a high-performance, collaborative, and innovative team culture
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage annual marketing budget across brand, media, trade, digital, and consumer activities
- Track KPIs and report performance insights to senior leadership
- Ensure timely, on-budget execution with strong business impact
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you should have strong experience in consumer-facing industries, with a proven ability to balance brand building and commercial results.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
- 10–15 years’ marketing experience in consumer industries (FMCG, beauty, luxury, lifestyle, retail, consumer healthcare, electronics, or consumer goods)
- Strong background in brand management, integrated marketing, consumer engagement, and commercial marketing
- Deep understanding of Taiwan consumer behaviour, media landscape, digital marketing, and retail/channel dynamics
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and external agencies
- Strong business acumen with ability to link brand strategy to commercial outcomes; experienced in matrix/regional organisations
- Fluent in Mandarin and strong English communication skills, with a strategic and hands-on approach in fast-paced environments
