What you'll do:
* Develop comprehensive global and regional marketing strategies for ester-based cosmetic ingredients, ensuring alignment with market trends and formulation needs.
* Lead portfolio management by positioning products effectively, planning product combinations, and crafting differentiated value propositions that resonate with target customers.
* Design integrated B2B marketing campaigns, including creation of technical data sheets, clinical efficacy documentation, formulation guides, and exhibition strategies for international trade shows such as In-Cosmetics.
* Analyse emerging clean beauty, green sustainability, and plant-based alternatives trends to inform new ingredient development and guide product upgrades.
* Support sales teams by enabling key account engagement with major beauty brands and OEM/ODM manufacturers, providing technical marketing expertise and tailored formulation solutions.
* Drive ESG initiatives by facilitating international certifications (RSPO, COSMOS, Ecocert, ISO) to enhance competitive advantage in global tenders.
* Coordinate cross-departmental efforts between R&D laboratories, production/quality control units, and overseas sales teams to ensure seamless product promotion and delivery quality.
* Establish pricing strategies that reflect market dynamics while maximising commercial value for the ester ingredient portfolio.
* Translate complex chemical structures into accessible market language for diverse audiences across departments and client organisations.
* Monitor performance metrics of marketing campaigns and adjust tactics to optimise reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
What you bring:
* A university degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, applied chemistry, biotechnology, cosmetic science or related fields; a master’s degree is highly desirable.
* Over 15 years’ experience in marketing within cosmetic raw materials or specialty chemicals sectors; proven track record in high-level decision-making roles for at least 3–5 years.
* Deep familiarity with ester compounds as well as oils and emulsifiers used in cosmetics; strong ability to communicate technical features effectively through technical marketing channels.
* Extensive experience building B2B ingredient brands and managing integrated product portfolios across multiple regions.
* Fluent business English skills required for cross-border presentations and client interactions; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
* Exceptional commercial acumen combined with an aptitude for translating complex chemical structures into clear market messaging.
* Outstanding interpersonal communication skills enabling effective cross-departmental coordination between R&D labs, production teams (QC/QA), sales units, and external stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to analyse market trends—especially clean beauty movements—and convert insights into actionable R&D directions or product upgrades.
* Experience supporting ESG initiatives by navigating international certification processes (RSPO, COSMOS, Ecocert, ISO) relevant to cosmetic ingredients.
* Strong organisational skills with a collaborative mindset that fosters teamwork across diverse functions.
