What you'll do:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and legal to identify potential risks and design effective mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and recommend improvements as needed.
  • Monitor regulatory changes relevant to the organisation’s operations and proactively update compliance frameworks to address new requirements.
  • Support incident response activities by providing expert guidance on compliance-related matters during investigations and post-incident reviews.

  • Deliver engaging training sessions for staff at all levels to raise awareness of security best practices and foster a culture of compliance throughout the organisation.
  • Assist with vendor risk management by evaluating third-party partners’ adherence to security standards and recommending actions where necessary.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes by staying informed about emerging threats, technologies, and industry trends.

What you bring:

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing security policies within regulated environments such as SaaS or cloud-based platforms.
  • Proven track record conducting risk assessments, audits, or gap analyses aligned with recognised frameworks like ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
  • Strong understanding of global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR) as well as regional regulations relevant to digital services.
  • Excellent communication skills enabling you to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, legal, product management, and external auditors.
  • Experience supporting incident response activities with a focus on compliance implications and post-incident reporting.
  • Familiarity with vendor risk management processes including third-party due diligence evaluations.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in training programmes or industry forums focused on security best practices.
  • Ability to deliver engaging training sessions that promote awareness of compliance obligations among staff at all levels.
