What you'll do:

* Lead major-incident management processes by coordinating cross-functional teams and producing thorough root-cause analyses to ensure swift resolution and prevention of future issues.
* Perform new-market Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, set appropriate risk limits for each market, and run daily pre-market checks to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
* Negotiate commissions with counterparties, secure tax exemptions where applicable, and monitor key metrics such as FOL to optimise trading performance.
* Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for corporate actions, short-selling activities, and restricted stock transactions while ensuring scalable automation across all processes.
* Reconcile inventory levels and capital allocations on a regular basis to prevent oversell situations and mitigate mis-allocation risks within the trading portfolio.
* Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to legal frameworks and participate in annual audits for regulatory assurance.
* Communicate effectively with senior management, traders, and risk teams to share insights, updates, and recommendations regarding trading operations.
* Turn macroeconomic indicators such as GDP growth rates and inflation data into actionable trading strategies that align with organisational objectives.
* Monitor market conditions continuously and respond rapidly to changes by making informed decisions based on industry insight.
* Support the implementation of new technologies or automation tools that enhance operational efficiency within the trading function.

What you bring:

* Mandatory: Possess a Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or related field along with over five years of experience in trading or project management roles within financial services.
* Mandatory: Demonstrate a solid understanding of portfolio theory as well as comprehensive risk management practices covering market risk, credit risk, and liquidity risk.
* Mandatory: Show proven ability to interpret macroeconomic indicators such as GDP figures, interest rates, and inflation statistics into actionable trading strategies that drive results.
* Mandatory: Exhibit rapid decision-making skills coupled with deep industry insight when responding to fast-moving market conditions.
* Mandatory: Communicate clearly and effectively with senior management teams, traders, risk professionals, and other stakeholders using fluent English for overseas projects.
