What you'll do:

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of IT infrastructure from initial design through to daily operation, including servers, data centres, network systems, cybersecurity measures, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Lead the deployment of cloud platforms and manage system migration projects across Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS while ensuring smooth hybrid integration with core manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, and SCADA.
  • Enhance the stability, automation capabilities, and resilience of factory IT systems to guarantee continuous production without interruption.
  • Ensure all IT systems adhere to food industry standards and regulations by supporting traceability initiatives and maintaining robust cybersecurity protocols.
  • Manage and support both infrastructure and cloud teams by allocating resources effectively across multiple sites to deliver dependable IT support.
  • Provide technical expertise and comprehensive documentation to facilitate internal audits, customer assessments, and security reviews.
  • Research emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improved automation, energy management solutions, and smart manufacturing enhancements.
  • Oversee IT asset management processes while coordinating with external service vendors to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Plan annual IT budgets in alignment with organisational goals and execute budgetary strategies efficiently.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing enterprise server architecture as well as virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Nutanix within large-scale data centre environments.
  • Proven familiarity with integrating IT systems into manufacturing settings—including ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), and OT (Operational Technology) platforms.
  • Comprehensive proficiency in deploying and managing major cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • In-depth understanding of virtual infrastructure concepts alongside advanced network technologies including VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS solutions, and Zero Trust security frameworks.
  • Track record of successfully deploying hybrid cloud environments spanning AWS or Azure ecosystems while ensuring seamless connectivity with on-premises systems.
  • Ability to provide technical input for audits or security reviews through meticulous documentation practices supporting compliance requirements.
  • Experience overseeing IT asset management processes as well as collaborating with external service providers for optimal system maintenance.
  • Capacity for effective team management—allocating resources thoughtfully across multiple locations while nurturing professional development within your group.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines plus Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible would be highly regarded.
