Backup & Storage Engineer (English interview)

We are seeking a Senior Backup & Storage Engineer to manage and optimize global backup, storage, and VMware infrastructure, ensuring data security, ransomware protection, and business continuity across global sites.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi, VM provisioning, and cluster optimization.

• Design, operate, and optimize global Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) environments.

• Implement immutable backup storage and Linux Hardened Repositories to protect against ransomware.

• Manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage systems, including storage provisioning, performance monitoring, and capacity planning.

• Integrate cloud storage solutions (Azure Blob / Amazon S3) for data archiving and cost optimization.

• Plan and execute disaster recovery (DR) drills to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

• Monitor infrastructure capacity, support budget planning, and prepare compliance reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.

• 3–5+ years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure, virtualization, backup, or storage management.

• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Veeam Backup & Replication, Linux administration, and SAN/NAS storage.

• Familiarity with physical servers, immutable backup solutions, and cloud storage integration.

• Intermediate or above English proficiency, with the ability to communicate with global IT teams and vendors.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as VMware VCP, Veeam VMCE, or NetApp NCDA.

• Scripting skills in PowerShell, PowerCLI, Python, or Bash.

• Experience in manufacturing environments or multi-site global data centers.
