Technical Consultant (Remote)
A leading organisation in Taipei is seeking a Technical Consultant with 5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and applications. This role offers you the chance to advance your career within an entrepreneurial environment that values innovation, learning, and professional development.
What you'll do:
As a Technical Consultant based in Taipei, you will play a pivotal role in connecting customers with innovative IT monitoring solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve engaging directly with clients to understand their requirements, conducting hands-on installations and configurations during proof-of-concept projects, and producing detailed reports that demonstrate how these solutions address key business challenges. You will also lead presentations at industry events and provide comprehensive training sessions for both customers and partners. Post-sales support is integral to this role; you will assist with implementations, troubleshoot issues as they arise, customise solutions for optimal performance, and ensure upgrades are applied smoothly. Success in this position requires not only technical proficiency but also strong interpersonal skills—your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly will help build trust with clients. By collaborating with internal teams and staying abreast of new technologies in areas such as cloud computing, virtualisation, containers, SAP or Oracle environments, you will contribute meaningfully to both customer satisfaction and organisational growth.
- Engage with prospective customers to position advanced IT data centre, application, and cloud services monitoring solutions tailored to their unique environments.
- Install, configure, and validate the effectiveness of monitoring products during proof-of-concept phases, generating comprehensive reports that highlight business value.
- Deliver compelling presentations and live demonstrations at industry events and customer meetings to showcase product capabilities and benefits.
- Provide thorough training sessions for customers and partners, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge needed to maximise product performance.
- Support post-sales activities by assisting with implementations, troubleshooting technical issues, customising solutions to meet client needs, and applying upgrades or patches onsite.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to share feedback from customer interactions, contributing to continuous improvement of products and services.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies relevant to IT infrastructure monitoring, including cloud platforms, virtualisation tools, containers, SAP, Oracle, and more.
- Foster positive relationships with clients by offering dependable guidance throughout their journey with the organisation’s solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of technical documentation and best practices for both internal use and customer reference.
- Participate in industry forums or events as a knowledgeable representative of the organisation’s technical expertise.

Your familiarity with enterprise technologies like VDI platforms, virtualisation tools such as VMware or Hyper-V, containerisation frameworks like Docker or Kubernetes, as well as SAP or Oracle systems equips you well for this multifaceted role. You thrive in customer-facing situations where your empathy helps translate technical concepts into practical solutions. Your enthusiasm for continuous learning ensures you stay current on emerging trends in IT infrastructure monitoring. Experience with Java/J2EE technologies or web applications further enhances your versatility. Cross-platform proficiency across Windows and Unix allows you to adapt seamlessly regardless of client requirements. Exposure to monitoring tools demonstrates your readiness for hands-on technical work.
