IT Manager (Retail)
An organisation seeks an IT Manager to oversee local IT operations, support business and retail systems, and drive regional technology initiatives in Taiwan.
Key responsibilities:
As an IT Manager, you will manage IT operations, user support, systems, projects, vendors, and regional alignment.
Desktop / End-User & Application Support
- Provide daily support for office and retail users, resolving hardware, network (LAN/Wi-Fi, VPN), printer, and Windows/macOS/iOS/Android issues
- Perform software installation, updates, and support for local applications (clienteling, BI/reporting, automation tools)
Hardware & Infrastructure Oversight
- Manage device lifecycle including imaging, configuration, inventory tracking, and replacements
- Ensure server room environment stability and physical security controls
Regional IT Coordination & Escalation
- Act as local escalation point for regional/central IT and support APAC users remotely
- Manage tickets via Landesk/Jira, ensuring SLA adherence and proper escalation paths
Security, Compliance & IT Governance
- Enforce endpoint security (AV, patching, encryption) and compliance with data/privacy policies
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and adherence to global IT standards
Vendor & MSP Management
- Coordinate and manage IT vendors (field service, hardware, printing/copy services)
- Support POS systems and oversee procurement within budget constraints
IT Budget & Procurement
- Plan and track IT operating budgets and expenses
- Manage asset lifecycle refresh cycles and procurement planning (3–4 years)
Project Management / Local Rollouts
- Support execution of regional IT rollouts (e.g., OS upgrades, hardware refresh) and track timelines, risks, and adoption
- Lead local UAT and pilot testing for new systems and tools
IT Strategy & Roadmap
- Align local IT decisions with global standards and strategic roadmap
- Act as liaison between local users and regional teams to surface needs, issues, and improvement opportunities
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you bring IT support experience across office and retail environments, with strong skills in infrastructure, security, projects, vendors, and stakeholder coordination.
- End-user support across Windows, macOS, iOS, Android in office and retail environments, including hardware, network (LAN/Wi-Fi/VPN), and printer troubleshooting
- Application and systems support for business tools (clienteling, BI/reporting, automation, POS), plus software installation and updates
- IT infrastructure and asset management, including device lifecycle, inventory, imaging/configuration, backups, and server room oversight
- Incident and operations management via Landesk/Jira, ensuring SLA compliance, escalation handling, and regional coordination
- Security, vendor, and project support, including cybersecurity compliance, procurement, budget tracking, and multi-site rollouts/UAT coordination
