A catering brand seeks a Head of HR to drive people strategy, lead HR transformation, and build a high performing, engaged workforce supporting business growth in Taiwan.

Key responsibilities:

As HR Department Head, you will lead HR strategy, optimise systems for compliance, and drive organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and culture to support business growth.

Human Resources Strategy Planning

  • Develop and implement human resources strategies aligned with the company's development needs, including talent acquisition, development, retention, and incentive mechanisms
  • Analyse market trends and internal data to provide decision-making support and assist senior management in formulating long-term human resources plans

Talent Recruitment & Retention

  • Develop annual recruitment plans aligned with store expansion strategies to ensure a steady pipeline of talent for key positions.
  • Actively participate in senior-level talent selection and interviews, providing professional insights and recommendations.
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies, including career development planning, promotion mechanisms, and initiatives to support long-term growth within the organisation

Organisational Development & Performance Management

  • Develop and implement employee training and development programs to standardise training across all departments and enhance overall professional capabilities
  • Establish and execute a performance management system, helping teams set clear goals, track progress, and continuously improve team effectiveness

Compensation, Benefits, & Policy Management

  • Plan and continuously optimise compensation and benefits policies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
  • Oversee payroll calculations, bonus distribution, and related report analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Regularly review and update HR-related policies and processes to enhance operational efficiency

Employee Relations & Culture Building

  • Establish effective communication channels to promote employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Assist in handling labour law-related matters and labour relations issues to maintain harmonious labour-management relationships
  • Promote corporate culture initiatives to enhance employee recognition and sense of belonging

Candidate profile:

To thrive in this role, you should bring extensive HR leadership experience, a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, and the ability to drive strategy, employee engagement, and organisational effectiveness.

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in the hospitality or food & beverage industry is highly preferred
  • HR Expertise: At least 8 years' comprehensive human resources experience, with proven expertise in store expansion and large-scale recruitment
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Taiwan labour laws and related regulations, along with hands-on experience in managing labour relations issues
  • Key Skills: Exceptional communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
