A leading global technology and manufacturing group seeks a C&B Strategy & Payroll Manager in Taiwan to drive compensation strategies, payroll governance, and team leadership for competitive, equitable, and compliant business impact.

Position Overview:

The C&B Strategy & Payroll Manager will lead the development and execution of compensation strategies while overseeing payroll management and governance. This role will partner closely with senior leaders, HR teams, Finance, and regional stakeholders to ensure the company’s compensation framework remains competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead key compensation and benefits initiatives, including pay strategy, job architecture, job evaluation, and salary structure design
  • Manage annual salary review governance, covering guidelines, budget modelling, management recommendations, and calibration
  • Conduct market benchmarking and compensation studies using Mercer, WTW, and other relevant market data
  • Develop compensation analytics and management reporting, including compa-ratio, range penetration, pay positioning, internal equity, and workforce cost analysis
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management on compensation trends, risks, and investment priorities
  • Lead payroll management and governance, ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, effective internal controls, and full compliance with local regulations
  • Contribute to global payroll governance and coordinate with regional and global stakeholders to ensure process consistency, compliance, and alignment
  • Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, systems, automation, and operational efficiency
  • Drive ESG-related compensation governance in alignment with corporate governance, pay equity, transparency, and sustainability standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop an eight-member team responsible for compensation strategy and payroll operations

Candidate profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources
  • At least 10 years’ relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, Total Rewards, or Payroll, including people management experience
  • Strong expertise in compensation strategy, salary structures, job architecture, annual salary reviews, and market benchmarking
  • Solid payroll management and governance experience within a complex organisation
  • Experience using Mercer, WTW, or other recognised compensation survey methodologies
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex compensation data into practical business recommendations
  • Experience in a multinational technology or manufacturing environment is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with ESG, pay equity, and compensation-related corporate governance practices is an advantage
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and project leadership skills
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin
