A leading multinational manufacturer seeks a Compensation & Benefits Manager to strengthen regional HR operations, driving payroll, rewards, and compliance excellence across Taiwan.

A well-established multinational manufacturing organisation with a strong global presence and a stable business in Taiwan. As part of its continued business growth, the company is creating a new Compensation & Benefits Manager position to strengthen its HR operations and regional collaboration.

About the role:
Reporting to the HR leadership team, you will lead a team of two and oversee end-to-end Compensation & Benefits operations for a workforce of approximately 1,000 employees across multiple locations in Taiwan.
This role offers extensive exposure to regional Total Rewards and Global Mobility teams, providing opportunities to contribute ideas, influence benefit strategies, and participate in cross-border HR initiatives.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a Compensation & Benefits team, ensuring efficient payroll, rewards, and HR operations across multiple sites in Taiwan
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations with external vendors, ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely reporting
- Drive compensation and benefits programmes, including salary reviews, market benchmarking, and benefits enhancements in partnership with regional Total Rewards teams
- Manage expatriate payroll, global mobility, and cross-border employment matters, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies
- Provide expert guidance on Taiwan labour legislation while supporting HRIS enhancements, attendance systems, and continuous process improvement
Candidate profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related discipline, with 8+ years' C&B experience, preferably in a multinational manufacturing environment
- Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring C&B teams, with solid expertise in payroll administration for medium to large organisations
- Strong knowledge of the Taiwan Labour Standards Act, statutory benefits, payroll regulations, attendance management, and HR compliance
- Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll, and time management systems; exposure to outsourced payroll vendors, expatriate payroll, tax equalisation, or global mobility programmes is highly preferred
- Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with fluency in English and Mandarin and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
