Clinical Affairs Head / Lead (Medical Devices)
A leading global medical device organisation is seeking an APAC Clinical Strategy Lead to drive clinical affairs initiatives across the Asia Pacific region.
This role offers the opportunity to develop regional clinical strategies, generate scientific evidence, support regulatory initiatives, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to advance innovative medical technologies that improve patient outcomes. Working across diverse markets, you will play a key role in business growth through clinical excellence, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional clinical strategies aligned with business objectives across APAC
- Lead end-to-end clinical studies, from planning and execution to successful completion
- Partner with physicians, investigators, hospitals, CROs, and external stakeholders to generate high-quality clinical evidence
- Manage study timelines, budgets, vendors, and research partners to ensure efficient project delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical research sites, investigators, and healthcare institutions
- Collaborate with data management and biostatistics teams while supporting scientific publications and evidence-generation activities
- Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ISO14155, and all applicable regulatory requirements
- Drive strategic clinical initiatives, influence cross-functional stakeholders, and independently lead projects within a matrix organisation
Candidate profile:
- Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline; PhD or MD is advantageous
- Extensive experience in Clinical Affairs, Clinical Research, or Medical Affairs within the medical device industry
- Proven track record managing regional or global clinical studies across the full study lifecycle
- Strong knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), ISO14155, and applicable clinical research regulations
- Experience collaborating with CROs, investigators, hospitals, and contributing to scientific publications
- Familiarity with APAC regulatory frameworks, reimbursement processes, and innovative medical technologies is preferred
- Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in clinical environments
- Fluent English communication skills and willingness to travel across the APAC region (approximately 20–50%)
