Supplier Quality Manager

• Develop and execute comprehensive supplier qualification, audit, approval, and performance-management processes for materials, components, equipment, tooling, and technical services.
• Evaluate supplier manufacturing capabilities by assessing quality systems, process controls, capacity planning, traceability mechanisms, change management procedures, and production readiness.
• Establish clear supplier quality requirements including metrics, standards, and reporting expectations to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address gaps in quality, delivery capability, and compliance through structured improvement plans that foster mutual understanding and support.
• Lead or support qualification and validation activities for materials, components, manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems by developing robust validation plans and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate sample reviews, laboratory testing sessions, pilot builds, production trials, first-article inspections, and production part approval activities to ensure product integrity.
• Conduct supplier audits throughout Asia including process reviews, factory assessments, inspections, and production-readiness evaluations while preparing concise reports for leadership teams.
• Monitor critical supplier processes such as quality controls, manufacturing changes, corrective-action commitments; support source inspections and pre-shipment reviews.
• Develop and maintain supplier quality documentation including quality plans, process FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects Analysis), control plans, inspection methods, deviation controls, reaction plans.
• Lead root-cause investigations into supplier-related issues; implement containment actions as well as corrective/preventive measures; verify effectiveness of improvements.
