Mechanical Engineer (Server)
Responsible for the design, development, and validation of liquid and air cooling solutions for server products. The role requires independent execution, cross-functional collaboration, and strong mechanical engineering expertise.
- Design and develop server liquid cooling systems, including cold plates, manifolds, CDUs, and UQDs.
- Evaluate and implement advanced cooling technologies such as Direct-to-Chip (D2C) and Immersion Cooling.
- Perform and review thermal/CFD simulations using tools such as Flotherm and Icepak to optimize thermal performance.
- Conduct mechanical stack-up, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and design validation.
- Collaborate with EE, Layout, Power, and SI/PI teams to resolve mechanical and thermal issues.
- Manage NPI-to-MP development, including tooling, trial builds, issue debugging, and failure analysis.
- Work with suppliers on technical specifications, validation, process reviews, and quality improvement.
- Research emerging server cooling technologies and develop internal design guidelines and standards.
