A leading organisation in the energy sector is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Taipei. This role offers you the opportunity to work on multiple projects simultaneously, supporting New Program Introduction (NPI) development, RFQ and platform development, and design standardisation.

  • Support all mechanical related activities and deliverables throughout New Program Introduction (NPI) development from prototype to production validation testing (PVT), including mechanical design, verification tests, reliability test support, design review meetings, customer conference calls, factory DFM reviews, and factory build support.
  • Prepare comprehensive deliverables such as test/design check reports, tolerance analysis reports, thermal simulation reports, design documents for customer approval, information for Engineering Coordinator (EC) for BOM or document release, BOMs for factory builds, part design drawings, and assembly drawings.
  • Contribute to RFQ and platform development by proposing conceptual packaging designs and mechanical/thermal simulations for inclusion in technical proposals submitted to customers.
  • Estimate RFQ BOM/tooling costs for mechanical items during RFQ BOM costing processes to ensure accurate project budgeting.
  • Provide support for all mechanical related activities and deliverables in platform design development to facilitate efficient project execution.
  • Apply principles of design standardisation by selecting materials and designing components that can be reused with the same IPN wherever possible to shorten lead times and reduce costs.
  • Participate actively in standardisation development initiatives to enhance efficiency across multiple projects.
  • Regularly work in the Taiwan office and laboratory while occasionally travelling to the Philippines factory or customer sites for on-site support as required.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders through effective written and spoken Mandarin/English communication.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all deliverables by adhering strictly to customer requirements, regulatory standards, and company quality policies.
