What you'll do:
As a Thermal Engineer and Manager for AI Server Solutions based in New Taipei City, you will immerse yourself in the exciting world of advanced cooling technologies. Your day-to-day activities will involve designing intricate liquid cooling systems tailored for high-performance GPUs used in cutting-edge AI servers. You will collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and system architects to ensure seamless integration of your designs at both component and rack levels. By leveraging sophisticated simulation tools like CFD, you will validate your concepts before supporting hands-on testing and troubleshooting during product development cycles. Your ability to analyse complex problems, propose creative solutions, and communicate effectively with diverse teams will be key to your success. - Design and develop advanced liquid cooling solutions for AI servers, including cold plates, liquid loops, and CDU (Coolant Distribution Units), ensuring optimal thermal performance under demanding workloads.
- Conduct comprehensive thermal analysis and optimisation for high-power GPU platforms such as HGX and GB200, utilising industry-leading methodologies to enhance system reliability.
- Utilise CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and other thermal simulation tools to model heat flow, validate designs, and ensure compliance with stringent performance standards.
- Work collaboratively with mechanical engineering teams to integrate innovative cooling technologies into complete server systems and rack-level architectures.
- Support the full product lifecycle by participating in the development, testing, verification, and mass production introduction of air-cooled and liquid-cooled heat sinks as well as water blocks.
- Integrate water-cooling systems seamlessly into existing server infrastructures while maintaining compatibility with evolving hardware requirements.
- Drive new technology development initiatives by researching emerging trends in thermal management and applying them to practical product solutions.
- Engage in detailed problem analysis during product testing phases, identifying root causes of thermal issues and implementing effective improvements.
- Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the design process, ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
