【Luxury】Deputy Design Manager

A jewellery brand seeks a Deputy Design Manager to lead Design team operations in Taiwan, coordinating Drawing, 3D, Wax and Workshop teams to ensure smooth, high-quality creative workflows.

Key responsibilities:

As Deputy Design Manager, you will coordinate design workflows across drawing, 3D, wax and workshop, work with cross-functional teams, and ensure efficient, high-quality project delivery.

Team Management & Development

• Oversee daily design operations across Drawing, 3D, Wax, and Workshop interface
• Balance workloads and allocate tasks across sub-teams
• Support performance reviews and development planning
• Foster a stable, collaborative team culture

Project & Workflow Management

• Plan and track project timelines and key milestones
• Manage end-to-end workflow from Drawing to Workshop production
• Develop and optimise SOPs and design processes
• Partner with Operations Excellence on continuous improvement
• Monitor risks and adjust resources proactively

Cross-functional & External Communication

• Act as key Design liaison for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate inputs from Marketing, Sales, Product, and Visual teams
• Consolidate and manage cross-functional requests
• Support coordination with overseas teams and partners

Operations & Resource Management

• Manage Design team capacity and project prioritisation
• Oversee headcount and resource planning
• Recommend operational improvements
• Ensure balance of efficiency and quality

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring experience in multidisciplinary creative operations and project delivery, strong bilingual communication skills, and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach.

• Bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience; fluent in English and Mandarin
• 5+ years in design operations, production, or project management, including 3+ years in a leadership/coordinating role
• Background in industrial, architectural, product design, or similar hardware-focused disciplines
• Working knowledge of 3D workflows, ergonomics, and precision mechanical structures; jewellery experience a plus (not required)
• Strong communicator with excellent cross-functional coordination, project management, and problem-solving skills; stable, reliable, and able to support senior leadership in a fast-paced environment
