What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for Power Management Interface (PMI) and communication microcontroller platforms, ensuring robust performance and reliability.
- Develop comprehensive firmware for ARM Cortex-M based microcontrollers, including bootloaders, peripheral drivers, middleware components, and application-level software tailored to custom hardware.
- Perform board bring-up activities, hardware validation processes, and detailed firmware debugging on bespoke embedded systems to guarantee seamless integration.
- Create telemetry, monitoring, control, and fault management functions for power modules that enhance system stability and operational efficiency.
- Design and validate secure firmware update mechanisms such as bootloader implementations and UDS-based solutions to ensure safe deployment of new features.
- Debug complex hardware-software integration issues using advanced tools like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, and CAN analyzers to resolve technical challenges efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with hardware design teams, validation engineers, manufacturing specialists, and customer engineering groups to investigate issues and deliver effective resolutions.
- Develop test tools and automation scripts that streamline firmware validation processes and improve overall testing efficiency across multiple platforms.
- Participate actively in technical reviews and contribute valuable insights during system architecture discussions to shape future product directions.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience working with MCU firmware development and architecture devices or networking-related products demonstrates your dependability.
- Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams across engineering disciplines.
- Self-motivation drives your ability to navigate ambiguity with sensitivity and adaptability within complex project environments.
- Experience designing embedded firmware for ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers showcases your technical proficiency in this domain.
- Proven track record in board bring-up procedures, hardware validation techniques, and debugging using oscilloscopes or protocol analyzers highlights your practical expertise.
- Ability to develop telemetry functions as well as monitoring and fault management features ensures robust system operation.
- Competence in designing secure firmware update mechanisms such as bootloaders or UDS-based solutions adds value to the team’s capabilities.
