What you'll do:

• Develop tooling, test plans, cases, and reports to enable engineering teams to measure and validate infrastructure development for product launches.
• Create automation scripts or applications to support software quality validation processes across multiple projects.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyse issues and debug complex firmware or embedded system challenges.
• Work together with colleagues from various departments to develop robust test cases that ensure product reliability and performance.
• Independently research new technologies and integrate them into validation workflows to enhance testing efficiency.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks for firmware or embedded system validation using scripting languages such as Python.
• Analyse communication protocol issues including PMBus and CANbus, determining root causes of failures through methodical investigation.
• Develop test applications for peripherals and connectivity buses such as I2C, SPI, USB, CANbus, and Modbus to ensure seamless integration.
• Maintain clear written documentation and verbal communication in both Mandarin and English to facilitate teamwork and project success.
• Contribute to the launch of high-quality products by ensuring rigorous validation standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields is required for this role.
• At least eight years of proven experience in debugging, development, or validation testing of firmware or embedded systems is essential.
• A strong sense of product quality combined with an understanding of end-user experience is highly valued.
• Demonstrated interest in automation script or application development with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously is important.
• Experience developing test applications for peripherals and connectivity buses such as I2C, SPI, USB, CANbus, Modbus is necessary.
• Proven ability to independently analyse communication protocol issues like PMBus or CANbus and determine root causes of failures is required.
• Expertise in developing automated test frameworks and scripts for firmware or embedded system validation using scripting languages (e.g., Python) is preferred.
• Capability for independent research into new technologies with successful integration into existing workflows is expected.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English are mandatory for effective collaboration.
• A strong sense of responsibility coupled with prior firmware validation experience in CBU (Control Board Unit) or PSU (e.g., CRPS, mCRPS) is considered advantageous.
