[外商] UEFI BIOS Engineer

A global technology organisation seeks a UEFI BIOS Engineer to develop EDKII firmware, author specifications, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and silicon vendors on end-to-end product development in Taiwan.

Key responsibilities:

As a UEFI BIOS Engineer, you will design EDKII firmware, write specifications, collaborate with teams and silicon vendors, and support end-to-end product development.

• Author firmware specifications, design and develop EDKII firmware, and debug/troubleshoot issues
• Own firmware-related activities across planning, development, validation, and full product lifecycle
• Study emerging technical specifications and provide guidance and training as needed
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including silicon, core, QA, and customer teams
• Partner with silicon vendors to analyse and resolve technical issues

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring firmware development experience, strong C/C++ skills, expertise in UEFI EDK/EDKII, system-level debugging ability, PC standards knowledge, and strong collaboration skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience (or 5+ years in firmware development)
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming
• Strong knowledge of UEFI EDK/EDKII core infrastructure
• Familiarity with PC technology standards (PCI, ACPI, SD, eMMC, USB, etc.)
• Understanding of software development processes
• Strong system-level debugging skills
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
