Firmware Manager (Optical)
A global technology leader seeks a Firmware Manager in Optical systems to lead firmware development and deliver high-performance optical module solutions.
Key responsibilities:
As Firmware Manager for Optical systems, you will lead ARM M-series firmware development, collaborate with hardware teams, and deliver high-quality, reliable solutions meeting customer requirements.
- Own firmware development and maintenance for ARM M-series processors, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability
- Build, lead, and manage a high-performing firmware design and verification team
- Drive end-to-end design of embedded firmware and bootloaders for optical modules
- Collaborate closely with hardware teams and customers, leveraging strong understanding of hardware and circuit design principles
- Oversee firmware verification, debugging, and fault analysis to ensure robust product quality
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you bring strong embedded firmware experience, team leadership skills, expertise in hardware/software integration, and a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree or above with 5+ years’ relevant work experience in embedded systems
- Strong hands-on experience in embedded MCU C programming and firmware development
- Practical experience in FPGA programming (Verilog/VHDL) and strong understanding of physical layer programming
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, and MDIO preferred
- Experience in source code management practices, team leadership exposure preferred, with business-level English communication skills
