What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines that support Android software development and facilitate efficient product releases across various hardware platforms.
• Build and sustain automation solutions for software builds, testing procedures, packaging workflows, and release processes to ensure high reliability and minimal manual intervention.
• Optimise build performance by enhancing reliability and developer productivity throughout multiple engineering teams while identifying areas for process improvement.
• Administer and improve engineering tools such as Git, Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins, artifact repositories, and related build infrastructure to streamline development workflows.
• Support release engineering activities including branching strategies, build generation processes, release automation tasks, software version management protocols, and creation of release candidates.
• Collaborate closely with software engineering teams as well as chipset vendors like Qualcomm and MediaTek alongside ODM partners to facilitate platform bring-up, Board Support Package integration, software releases, and continuous enhancement of development practices.
• Develop innovative tools and automation that reduce manual effort for engineers while increasing overall efficiency in development cycles.
• Monitor the availability, security, scalability, and performance of build infrastructure regularly to ensure optimal operation and proactively address any issues.
• Leverage artificial intelligence technologies along with advanced automation methods to streamline software development processes including build analysis, troubleshooting steps, and developer workflow enhancements.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline is required for consideration.
• At least seven years’ experience in Android ecosystem software and firmware development.
• Proven track record collaborating with silicon vendors (such as Qualcomm or MediaTek) as well as ODM/OEM partners to integrate platform updates and resolve build or release challenges.
• Extensive experience with source control tools including Git, Gerrit, GitHub combined with modern workflow methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar automation platforms within large-scale environments.
• Deep familiarity with Android build systems such as Soong, Make, Gradle, Repo alongside hands-on experience in Android platform build environments.
• Advanced scripting proficiency using Python or Bash (or comparable languages) enabling custom automation solutions.
• Strong Linux system administration skills paired with troubleshooting expertise relevant to complex engineering infrastructures.
• Experience managing build automation tasks including release management protocols and software versioning strategies.
• Exceptional analytical abilities complemented by debugging skills plus excellent communication capabilities fostering effective collaboration.
