What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, and enhance features for both Linux and Windows platforms using C and C++, ensuring robust performance and high reliability in diverse environments.
  • Create automation processes and systems to streamline testing workflows, utilising Python to improve efficiency and maintain rigorous quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain user-mode dynamic link libraries (DLLs) as well as kernel mode drivers, contributing to the seamless operation of endpoint protection engines.
  • Apply DevOps methodologies to increase engine availability and reliability, integrating best practices for deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues promptly, demonstrating empathy and commitment to delivering effective solutions.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding tasks and elevate code quality throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and technical discussions to foster a collaborative learning environment within the team.
  • Analyse system dumps and performance metrics to identify bottlenecks or vulnerabilities, proactively addressing potential risks before they impact customers.
  • Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of engineering processes, supporting a culture of innovation and shared responsibility for product excellence.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated expertise in Linux or Windows system domains with a deep understanding of internal mechanisms relevant to endpoint security.
  • Advanced proficiency in C/C++ programming languages with at least three years of hands-on experience developing complex software solutions.
  • Solid Python scripting abilities applied towards automation testing or process optimisation within large-scale projects.
  • Proven ability to analyse system dumps and performance data to diagnose issues or optimise resource utilisation effectively.
  • Experience developing both user-mode DLLs and kernel mode drivers for enhanced system integration on endpoint platforms.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles including deployment automation, monitoring strategies, and incident management protocols.
  • Excellent English communication skills enabling clear collaboration with international teams or stakeholders across different functions.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Interest in or familiarity with threat intelligence concepts; deep threat knowledge would be considered an advantage but is not required.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot is highly desirable.
