What you'll do:

  • Mentor, guide, and inspire a diverse team of software engineers and architects by fostering a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and communal growth.
  • Recruit new talent, oversee onboarding processes, and support career development initiatives to build a dependable technical workforce.
  • Establish a high-performance engineering culture that values inclusivity, continuous learning, and technical excellence across all levels.
  • Direct the architecture, design, and implementation of mobile and web applications supporting smart automobile systems with a focus on user experience and reliability.
  • Supervise IoT firmware integration within power management solutions to ensure seamless connectivity between hardware and software components.

  • Evaluate emerging frameworks, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity while maintaining industry-leading standards.
  • Plan, prioritise, and execute software and firmware projects by setting clear milestones, deliverables, and timelines aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Utilise AI-powered tools for efficient project scheduling, progress tracking, resource allocation, and agile task management.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, hardware specialists, quality assurance teams, OEM clients, and senior leadership to translate business needs into actionable engineering plans.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required for this role.
  • Minimum ten years’ professional experience in software development with proven expertise across the full software development lifecycle is essential.
  • At least three years in a senior technical leadership or management position overseeing teams ranging from five to twenty engineers is necessary.
  • Demonstrated experience in mobile app development (iOS/Android), including deep understanding of modern architectures such as MVVM/MVC/MVP as well as UX principles is highly valued.
  • Proven proficiency in IoT firmware development—covering deployment strategies, security protocols, integration with mobile/web platforms—is expected.
  • Strong background in engineering project management utilising agile methodologies as well as AI-driven task management systems is important.
  • Ability to align product development initiatives with business objectives by driving prioritisation processes, resource planning activities, and development scheduling based on strategic goals is crucial.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems technology (RTOS), wireless communication protocols (Wi-Fi/BLE), cloud connectivity solutions is considered advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Expertise in major programming languages used for app development such as Swift/Kotlin/React Native/Java or similar is required; experience with C/C++/Python for embedded software is beneficial.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including problem-solving abilities; organisational acumen; effective communication; capacity to nurture continuous improvement within teams are vital.
