Service Engineer _ Equipment
A global manufacturer seeks Service Engineers to support Fritsch baking machinery across Asia, enhancing regional service capability through expert technical support, collaboration, and training in Germany to improve uptime and service quality.
Key responsibilities:
As a Service Engineer, you will support equipment across Asia through technical service, regional collaboration, and training to ensure reliable operations and service quality.
- Deliver expert technical support for baking machinery across Asia (excluding Japan), ensuring timely resolution of service issues and sustained equipment performance
- Partner with local service engineers to drive effective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, strengthening regional service capability
- Travel to customer sites and regional offices to provide hands-on support and share technical best practices across teams
- Complete an intensive 6–12-month training programme at the German headquarters to build deep product and technical expertise
- Communicate clearly in English (and ideally Mandarin) with customers and internal stakeholders to align on issues and solutions
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting to support compliance, traceability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with European management teams to align service delivery standards, ensure customer satisfaction, and support knowledge sharing across the technician network
Candidate profile:
To excel in this role, you bring experience in industrial equipment service, strong communication skills, willingness to travel and learn internationally, and a collaborative, adaptable approach to technical work.
- Proven experience servicing industrial machinery or equipment in manufacturing or food production environments
- Familiarity with complex mechanical or technical systems used in industrial operations
- Exposure to multicultural, cross-border working environments with diverse stakeholders
- Strong communication skills in English; Mandarin language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to travel extensively across Asia (excluding Japan) for field service support
- Commitment to undertake up to one year of technical training in Germany for skill development
- Strong collaboration, adaptability, and knowledge-sharing mindset to support team effectiveness and service quality
