What you'll do:
As a Cable Development Engineering Manager, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation in the field of cable design. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in guiding a team of seasoned engineers towards meeting customer requirements. You will be responsible for coordinating internal resources, ensuring timely project implementation while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Your role will involve close collaboration with key customers and management to develop customised products that meet specific needs. You will also be tasked with translating customer requirements into product concepts, ensuring optimal design for manufacturing processes. Regular updates on project status will be expected from you both internally and externally.
- Provide leadership for team members to support customer requirements.
- Monitor coordination of internal resources with appropriate department, resolving operational issues.
- Ensure project implementation on time, on cost, on quality.
- Work closely with key customers and management to develop custom products.
- Translate customer and market requirements to product concepts.
- Design for Manufacturability - Ensure the best product design for cost and manufacturing processes.
- Provide regular updates on project status internally and externally.
- Conceive and plan projects involving the definition and selection of new concepts in the design and development of connectors, cables and cable systems.
- Create documents required to define and build products: drawings, material specifications, bills of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate, analyse and assess testing and qualifications in order to insure product conformity with specifications.
