An exciting opportunity awaits for an experienced Electronic Engineering Staff Engineer to join a forward-thinking organisation at the forefront of power electronics and renewable energy solutions in Taipei.

What you'll do:

  • Oversee and guide a team of electronic engineers in the design and development of power supply products such as networking equipment and server power supply units.
  • Monitor project progress closely, ensuring timely delivery of milestones while nurturing a performance-oriented yet supportive team culture.
  • Provide hands-on mentorship to junior engineers, offering technical guidance on circuit upgrades, early-stage research, and technological innovation.
  • Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps and detailed project plans to align with organisational goals and industry advancements.
  • Foster strong cross-departmental relationships with business, research, development, and manufacturing teams to optimise design methodologies and resolve production challenges efficiently.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues related to electronic components and systems, ensuring robust solutions are implemented swiftly.
  • Conduct simulations and analytical studies to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and performance of hybrid inverter systems.
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure seamless integration between hardware platforms and software controls.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in power electronics and renewable energy sectors, incorporating new insights into ongoing projects.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging knowledge sharing, skill development, and open communication within the engineering team.

What you bring:

  • A minimum of ten years’ proven experience designing power supply products with direct involvement in product development cycles including testing, validation, and transition to mass production.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various power conversion topologies and control techniques; experience with high-power-density product development is highly desirable.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for research-driven innovation coupled with a willingness to explore new technologies within the field of power electronics.
  • Demonstrated ability to think independently while embracing responsibility for project outcomes as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling effective co-operation with colleagues across engineering disciplines as well as external partners.
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring research and development teams is preferred; ability to nurture talent through knowledge sharing is essential.
  • Strong analytical mindset with proficiency in simulation tools used for circuit analysis and system optimisation.
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting complex electronic systems efficiently under time constraints while maintaining quality standards.
  • Commitment to staying updated on industry trends relevant to renewable energy technologies through continuous learning initiatives.
