Banking Head of Risk

A leading financial institution in Taipei is seeking a highly experienced Head of Risk Management to shape the bank’s approach to credit, market, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks at an enterprise level

Key responsibilities:

As Head of Risk Management, you will play a central role in shaping how one of Taiwan’s most prominent financial institutions manages its diverse range of risks.

• Lead the bank’s overall risk management framework covering credit, market, liquidity, operational, and regulatory risks
• Develop and implement enterprise risk policies, governance, and control mechanisms aligned with regulatory requirements
• Monitor portfolio risk exposure and provide strategic recommendations to senior management and board committees
• Ensure compliance with local banking regulations and coordinate with regulators and auditors on risk-related matters
• Drive risk culture, stress testing, scenario analysis, and risk mitigation initiatives across the organisation

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you will bring extensive experience in banking or financial services environments, complemented by strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or related disciplines
• 15+ years of banking risk management experience, including senior leadership exposure
• Strong knowledge of Basel regulations, banking governance, and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience managing enterprise-wide risk frameworks and stakeholder communication
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities
