Controller (FP&A focused)

A global consumer goods organisation in Taiwan seeks a Financial Controller (FP&A) to strengthen financial control and planning, ensure compliance with group guidelines, and deliver insightful analysis that supports strategic commercial decision-making and drives business efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with group controlling standards by designing robust financial structures that reflect organisational accountability and process integrity
• Own timely and accurate financial reporting to budget holders, delivering clear performance insights to support informed business decisions
• Drive continuous improvement in reporting efficiency by streamlining processes and enhancing systems to enable deeper value-added analysis
• Lead bottom-up planning cycles by aligning local planning calendars with group timelines and ensuring structured stakeholder input and governance
• Improve forecasting accuracy by challenging assumptions, evaluating cost-benefit impacts, and strengthening business planning quality
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to support commercial decisions through pricing simulations, promotional ROI analysis, and contract evaluation
• Deliver actionable commercial insights through weekly performance reporting and budgeting coordination, including KPI tracking, variance analysis, and scenario planning

Candidate profile:

• 5+ years’ experience in a controlling role within the consumer goods industry, with strong understanding of commercial finance and industry dynamics
• Strong expertise in promotional mechanics and financial impact analysis, enabling effective evaluation of campaign performance and ROI
• Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools, including expert-level Excel and experience with SAP BI and/or Hyperion for reporting and analysis
• Highly analytical mindset with proven ability in profitability analysis, scenario modelling, and identifying key business risks and opportunities
• Experience partnering with commercial stakeholders in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, supporting decision-making up to General Manager level
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for business leaders
• Degree in Accounting or related field preferred, with fluency in Mandarin and English to support effective regional and global collaboration
