Controlling Manager

A financial institution in Taiwan seeks a Controlling Manager to provide financial analysis, strengthen reporting accuracy, support decision-making, and improve internal processes.

Key responsibilities:

As Controlling Manager, you will oversee financial controlling, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, while partnering across teams to improve processes and support strategic decisions.

Finance / Controlling

• Ensure accurate, timely monthly closing, reporting, and management analysis
• Deliver variance analysis with actionable insights to support decision-making
• Conduct business case simulations and post-implementation back-testing for new initiatives
• Act as key liaison with HQ on controlling, planning tools, and performance reviews
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, pricing, profitability, and cost control, including KPI and dashboard reporting

Business Partnerships

• Partner with departments to provide financial insights for cross-functional initiatives
• Support campaign setup testing and validation processes
• Reconcile sales data and portfolio performance with front-office teams

Process Optimisation & Improvement

• Identify and implement improvements to streamline controlling processes and increase efficiency

Operations Support

• Support e-banking transaction approvals and GL voucher reviews
• Perform other ad hoc finance-related tasks as assigned

Candidate profile:

To excel in this role, you bring strong financial controlling experience in large organisations, with expertise in reporting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and business case evaluation.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 5–10 years’ experience in financial/portfolio analysis or accounting (banking/consumer finance a plus)
• At least 3 years’ leadership experience in cross-functional environments preferred
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for reporting and presentations
• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong English proficiency (written and spoken) for global collaboration
• SAP S/4HANA and Power BI experience advantageous
• Independent, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in fast-paced settings
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and accuracy
