Cost Analyst

An opportunity has arisen for a Cost Analyst in Taipei, Taiwan within a leading manufacturing environment. The role focuses on cost analysis, budgeting, variance reporting, and driving process improvement through data-driven insights.

Key responsibilities:

Play a key role in supporting financial performance by analysing manufacturing costs, preparing variance reports, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive cost efficiency.

• Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing and production cost data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making
• Prepare accurate cost variance reports and highlight opportunities for savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimisation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, including reconciliation of actual versus planned costs
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data collection and effective cost control measures
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing costing processes, maintaining documentation, and supporting best practices

Candidate profile:

You are an analytical and detail-oriented finance professional with experience in manufacturing cost environments and a strong ability to communicate insights effectively.

• Proven experience in manufacturing industry cost analysis or a similar financial role within a production environment
• Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting principles
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial data
• High attention to detail with strong analytical capability and confidence working with large datasets
• Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency
