Senior Regional Accounting Manager, APAC

A global technology firm seeks a Senior Regional Accounting Manager (APAC) in Taiwan to drive accounting transformation and standardisation across APAC, strengthening financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities:

As Senior Regional Accounting Manager, you will lead regional accounting operations, strengthen financial governance and compliance, drive transformation, and develop high-performing teams across APAC.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes across APAC entities, review balance sheet reconciliations, coordinate regional consolidation, and deliver accurate reporting to Corporate Finance
• Establish consistent accounting policies and treatments aligned with corporate guidelines and local statutory requirements, while supporting internal and external audits
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, internal control frameworks, SOX (if applicable), and corporate policies; monitor risks, recommend corrective actions, and maintain audit readiness
• Lead automation, workflow standardisation, closing-efficiency initiatives, and ERP optimisation while partnering with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Procurement, Treasury, and Tax teams on complex transactions and new initiatives
• Coach and mentor APAC accounting teams and lead cross-country projects to strengthen capabilities, collaboration, and consistent accounting practices across the region

Candidate profile:

• 10+ years’ progressive accounting experience in multinational corporations or large organisations across multiple legal entities, including 5+ years in managerial or regional leadership roles
• Hands-on experience managing regional accounting operations across APAC, with shared service or regional finance environment exposure highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and relevant APAC local GAAPs, statutory audit processes, and internal control frameworks, including risk identification and mitigation
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar ERP systems, with ERP implementation or upgrade experience advantageous; proven experience driving finance process improvement through automation or digital transformation
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, coaching, and mentoring skills, with the ability to partner cross-functionally, manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and develop regional team capabilities
