Finance Director

A leading telecommunications firm seeks a Finance Director in Taiwan to transform financial strategy and operations, driving sustainable growth through treasury, tax, risk management, and M&A leadership.

Key responsibilities:

As Finance Director, you will lead the finance function’s strategic direction, financial governance, risk management, and major projects to support sustainable business growth.

• Develop and implement the strategic direction for finance, overseeing budgeting, accounting operations, internal controls, financial governance, and asset capitalisation
• Oversee corporate and ad hoc investments, monitor financial risks, and provide recommendations to safeguard assets and optimise performance
• Manage treasury operations including cash management, short-term financing, banking and vendor relationships, FX management, insurance, credit control, and collections
• Ensure direct and indirect tax, audit, expat tax, and intercompany compliance while improving cash collection, inventory levels, and overall balance sheet quality
• Lead major finance projects from concept through execution, overseeing resource approval, risk management, cost control, and post-project evaluation

Candidate profile:

• 20+ years’ finance experience in multinational or publicly listed companies in Taiwan
• Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting with CPA or CFA certification
• Expertise in fundraising, international tax planning, business partnering, and fiduciary responsibility; M&A experience advantageous
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, hands-on execution, organisational change, project management, and analytical skills
• Excellent Mandarin and English communication skills, with experience collaborating across regions, cross-functional teams, and external stakeholders; high integrity and additional languages advantageous
