Director of Engineering Delivery Salary: Competitive and based on experience Location: Taipei City Keywords: Engineering Management, Project Delivery, Budget Control, Client Engagement, AI Solutions Our client, a publicly listed international software company, is seeking a Director of Engineering Delivery to lead end-to-end execution of large-scale engineering projects across transportation, defense, and manufacturing sectors. This role requires a strong technical background, proven experience in managing engineering teams and complex project lifecycles, as well as the ability to engage directly with large enterprise and government clients. The director will also be responsible for project budgeting and resource planning, ensuring successful and cost-effective delivery. The role reports to the overseas Head of Engineering and involves occasional international travel.
What you'll do:
As a Director of Engineering Delivery, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic planning and successful execution of complex, large-scale engineering initiatives across key industries such as transportation, defense, and manufacturing.
You will lead cross-functional engineering teams and ensure all operations align with organizational objectives, technical milestones, and client expectations. Your responsibilities will span from hands-on involvement in technical problem solving to high-level planning, budget control, and client engagement. You’ll also be the key point of contact for major enterprise and government clients, ensuring exceptional delivery and long-term partnership success.

Oversee engineering operations to ensure alignment with organizational goals and technical milestones

Evaluate and recommend tools or methodologies to enhance project delivery, scalability, and performance

Formulate actionable execution plans and lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact results

Guide and mentor engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture

Track project timelines and ensure delivery is on schedule and aligned with scope

Remain actively involved in technical decisions and problem-solving when necessary

Control and allocate project budgets to maximize cost efficiency and team productivity

Analyze project documentation and progress reports to verify alignment with delivery timelines and financial targets

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

20+ years of industry experience, with a strong track record in engineering leadership

Proven experience delivering security and analytics-related solutions

Strong background in managing cross-functional engineering teams and large-scale technical programs

Demonstrated success in managing high-value projects exceeding USD 5 million

Experience in budget ownership and financial planning for engineering initiatives

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders

Fluency in both English and Mandarin
