Save job

We’re partnering with a top-tier company in the electronic design automation industry to hire a seasoned Lead Design Engineer. In this role, you’ll take ownership of building and maintaining high-level memory models used in hardware verification platforms. The models span various memory technologies, including SDRAM, NAND Flash (ONFI, QSPI, OSPI), eMMC, SD Cards, and UFS. These components are essential for the development and validation of complex system architectures.

What You’ll Do

In this key role, you will:

  • Take ownership of the development schedule and architecture for reusable memory IP components.

  • Enhance, troubleshoot, and provide support for existing memory model libraries used in hardware-based verification flows.

  • Handle RTL design and verification tasks, transforming specifications into high-quality deliverables.

  • Collaborate with both internal R&D teams and external engineering partners to solve complex design and verification challenges.

  • Translate memory protocol specs from customers or third parties into implementation and validation strategies.

  • Participate in model integration and lifecycle management processes to ensure long-term product reliability.

  • Regularly communicate with field engineers and customers, offering in-depth technical support and resolving integration issues.

  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and 12+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 10 years of experience.

  • Strong command of Verilog/SystemVerilog for RTL coding and debug.

  • Familiarity with digital design workflows, including verification environments and related tools.

  • Experience working within cross-functional teams and using project collaboration tools.

  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.

  • Ability to manage timelines and balance multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with UVM testbench environments.

  • Prior use of simulation or emulation platforms widely adopted in the semiconductor industry.

  • Scripting experience in Perl, TCL, or similar languages.

  • Background knowledge in memory architecture and sub-system behavior is a big plus.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to work with one of the industry’s most respected providers of hardware and design verification platforms, contributing to products used by leading semiconductor companies around the world. You’ll be part of a collaborative, high-performance R&D team solving impactful technical challenges.
